Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Ahmed Adil Kareem, based in Baghdad, Iraq, who operates Stoa ("Stoa", "we", "us"). By creating or using a Stoa account, you agree to them. If you use Stoa on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that business.

1. What Stoa is

Stoa is an online service for teams to plan their weeks and days. Stoa is for business use only. It is not offered to consumers for personal use.

2. Accounts and roles

  • You sign in with a Google or Microsoft account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure.
  • The person who creates a team is its owner. The owner is responsible for the team's use of Stoa, for the people they invite, and for having the right to add their employees' information to Stoa.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a team.

3. Free trial

New teams get a 14-day free trial, with no payment card needed. At the end of the trial, the team becomes read-only until a plan is chosen.

4. Plans and payment

  • Prices are listed at stoa.day/pricing. Each plan covers a maximum number of people.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, in advance, and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • If we change prices, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before the change affects your next payment. Teams that joined under our launch offer keep their launch price for as long as their subscription stays active.
  • If a payment fails, the team may become read-only until payment is made.
  • Prices do not include any taxes that you, as a business customer, must account for in your own country.

5. Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel at any time. Your team keeps access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • We do not refund partial periods. However, if you are not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid charge by emailing ahmed.alhimdani@gmail.com.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any refund rights you have under the law that applies to you.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Stoa for anything illegal, or to store illegal content,
  • try to access other teams' data, break or test our security without our written permission, or overload our systems,
  • copy, resell, or sublicense Stoa, or use automated tools to scrape it,
  • upload malware or harmful files, or
  • use Stoa to harass or harm others.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we will contact you first.

7. Your data

Your team's data belongs to your business. We use it only to provide Stoa, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement (stoa.day/dpa), which form part of these terms. You can export or delete your data at any time from the app.

8. Our intellectual property

Stoa's software, design, name, and logo belong to us. These terms give you the right to use Stoa during your subscription; they do not transfer any ownership.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Stoa reliable, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may carry out maintenance and improve or change features. If we plan to remove an important feature, we will tell you in the app in advance.

10. Disclaimers

Stoa is a planning tool. It helps your team organize work, but decisions about work, hours, overtime, pay, and employment remain your business's responsibility. Stoa does not give legal, payroll, or employment advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business, or lost data that could have been exported, and
  • our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Stoa and delete your team at any time. We may end this agreement if you seriously break these terms, or if we stop offering Stoa, in which case we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.

13. Changes to these terms

If we make important changes, we will announce them in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Stoa after that means you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Baghdad, Iraq. This does not remove any rights you have under mandatory laws of the country where your business is based.
